My
name is Coleman Doyle Alldredge., born in Shreveport, Louisiana April
27, 1950 and was raised in Texas and Louisiana. I have been living
in Clarence LA since 1965. My wife Shirley and I have been married
for 30 years. We have two sons, Yancy Doyle, born 1982 and Casey Boyd,
born 1988. Yancy died November 12, 2002.
I like to write poems and plays. I started writing poetry on grief
after my son died as a way to deal with my grief. I also like to hunt,
fish and camp out when possible. I am a pre-school Sunday School teacher
at Church. I help work with the children and teach children’s
Church.
I was introduced to GROWW by my wife Shirley, for 5 months after my
son’s death, I kind of shut myself off from everyone by not
wanting to talk about my grief to anyone. I went to the main chat
room a few times but I could not talk about my grief. Then Shirley
got me to come to the Heavenly Angels Branch, at first I didn’t
say much but listened mostly to the other people. There was love and
compassion, Heavenly Angels has brought me a long way in my grief.
I have a new family of friends to lean on when my grief gets me down.
They support me and lift me back up, It is an honor to be part of
the GROWW family.
