My life was a ball till I walked down the school hall friday morning. Jason passed John a flyer with tears in his eyes. John took my hand and said "yesterday our friend Paul died." As I walked up the stairs I could not breathe. This was a task I just couldn't acheive. It was just yesterday I was talking to his face. Then his life was ended at a familiar place. What I wouldn't give for just one more day. If I got the chance then this is what I'd say: I miss your yellow sweater, and your daily Dr. Pepper, I miss that cute smile, I'm reminded of you when I run the mile, but I will be okay. I went to his funeral, the sadness was mutual. We hugged and we cried, we hoped this was just a lie. Well it wasn't a lie cause that would be too mean, so I wrote this ode to Paul San Augustin. Rest in peace my wonderful friend. When I get to heaven, I'll see you again.
